F is for fire fighter!! We had so much fun on our first field trip to the fire station. It was a very eventful visit! We saw 3 different kinds of fire trucks and witnessed the fire fighters having to rush out for a real call! The morning class has been patiently counting down the days until they get to go on this special trip too.

 

 

 

In preparation for our trip next week, the morning class began exploring all of the important parts of a fire truck. We are becoming experts at drawing from a reference picture. They were quite proud of their amazing artwork! 

 

We created our drawings on special paper that made colouring with markers so much fun.

 

 

 

Each child received their very own free-choice journal this week to draw and write about anything they want. The stories and writing that erupted from such an open-ended activity was absolutely amazing! Ask your child what they drew about in their new journal 🙂

 

We're learning to look for shapes, colours and designs that we admire in each other's artwork and identify how different pieces make us feel.
