In Bloom

We spent a lot of time exploring flowers this week. Monday started with this stunning collaborative mural.

We returned to the Eric Carle inspired artwork we started last week. How incredible are these?!

Our investigation of seeds is going strong! We looked closely at the characteristics of different seeds and each child chose what they wanted to plant.

In math this week we started investigating 3D shapes. We're learning to identify shapes that look like a ball, a can, a box and a cone. Kindergarteners aren't required to know the mathematical name for these shapes, but of course our little geniuses are already beginning to remember them! We spent time sorting and creating spheres, cones, cubes, cylinders and rectangular prisms. Have a look for these shapes around your house!

We celebrated Earth Day by reading books and watching videos about how we can care for this incredible place we call home. The kiddos were thrilled about making crowns and creating some adorable artwork.

As always, I'll leave you with some photos of our gym and centre time this week 💖

Have you heard about our mystery eggs...?

Please be aware that Monday, April 26th is a Professional Day for teachers so there is no school for AM or PM classes. See you all on Tuesday!
