Springtime Goodness

 We began our week by exploring the parts of a flower with plasticine.

This led to an interest in exploring seeds...

We even began finding seeds in our snacks!!

We're learning that books are great resources of information on topics we are interested in. Try putting out a variety of non-fiction books in front of your child sometime...they'll devour them!

We read The Tiny Seed and were inspired to create some giant Eric Carle inspired flowers. This fun project has us learning about texture and collage! Watch for more on these next week! 

We're learning how to play basketball! We focused on dribbling and bounce-passes this week.

We LOVED watching the Paper Bag Princess by Storybook Theatre. We learned about theatre, costuming and special effects!

The following day, children responded to the question, 

How would YOU have tricked the dragon?

Their responses were fantastic! We have some very creative kiddos!
