This week in kindergarten...
We looked closely at some mystery eggs, trying to determine what kind of bird might have laid them. After 2 weeks of guessing, they finally found out! Ask your child what kind of eggs they were.
We sketched, examined and planted seeds! The kiddos are SO excited about this and were checking on the progress of their seeds every 5 minutes after planting them :)
We learned about the letter Z ... only one more letter to go!
We explored many new springtime centres! Spring is such a beautiful time to investigate, look closely, and fall in love with nature. This time in our day is so rich with discovery and exploration.
(oh my...it was a busy couple of weeks!!)
Here's what the kiddos have been up to with Mrs. Planden:
In math we have begun to explore the concepts of 2D and 3D shapes. Students have been using 2D shapes to build pictures and patterns, and 3D shapes to build structures. The students have also been making observations about shapes, like whether a particular shape will roll or slide. In the coming weeks, students will begin learning the names of key shapes and exploring their characteristics!
I am wishing you all a wonderful long weekend filled with many special memories!
