This week in kindergarten...
We began our wonderful week together by sharing about our long weekends. Children were so excited to talk about their outdoor adventures, family dinners, and special moments spent with friends and cousins. We continue to work on adding backgrounds and details to our pictures and have officially become writers! Every child attempted a sentence this week...WOO HOO!
In honour of Pink Shirt Day, we spent the day learning about inclusion, belonging and kindness. Our kiddos were amazing at coming up with ways they can show kindness at school, at home, and to themselves. In the next few weeks, if your child goes out of their way to do something kind (without being asked to do so), please let me know as I would really love to praise their efforts.
Our letter focus this week was O. We learned that ocean and octopus begin with this letter and had fun creating some underwater creatures out of plasticine.
We explored an exciting new snow cone centre that was very popular this week! Through their play, children were having so many rich discussions, working together to read the menu, comparing sizes, and making many meaningful observations around the magical nature of snow.
