 BUGS! BUGS! BUGS!

Our first week back together was filled with all kinds of creepy, crawly investigations. We learned SO MANY cool facts and even discovered some new bugs we had never heard of before. Check out a couple of my personal faves...

The PICASSO Bug

The Man-Faced Stink Bug

The Kung Fu Mantis
(ask your child about the video we watched about this guy)

We had fun exploring some new bug centres, observed REAL butterflies, wasp nests and insects and even worked through a tricky math problem involving ladybugs and bumblebees.

We also learned about different types of scientists this week and spent some time thinking about what kind of scientists we would be if given the choice. I noticed a huge improvement in children being able to write with spaces between their words this week. Thank you for supporting your children with this during at-home learning!

Due to overwhelming demand, our dramatic play area has been transformed into a castle! From armour, swords and handcuffs to portraits of princesses, magic mirrors and an epic silver throne, our kindergarteners have been creating like crazy to bring this centre to life. Watching a child's imagination unfold in front of your eyes is pure magic.

We've had such a special week giggling and making discoveries together. It's so great to be back!

Have a beautiful weekend everyone! I'll see you all on Tuesday. Mrs. Planden will be in on Monday.

Love,
Miss Roberts
