Spring has sprung in kindergarten and we are loving every minute of it! We spent a lot of time this week talking about the signs of spring and enjoyed exploring these ideas through some new centre time activities.

With checklists in hand, we took our investigations outside to search our school yard for these exciting signs of the new season. Our little scientists had so much fun on their spring hunt.

Children were thrilled to share about their adventures over the break and used their expert drawing skills to share a little bit about what they did. We've also begun writing sentences now! Yipppeeee!!! 🌟 Proud Teacher Moment 🌟

"Daddy was watching Star Wars with me
and Drew."

"I am at Vernon and I was on the
monkey bars and on the tire swing."

"I was digging with my brother.
We did a good job.
Mom was proud of us."

We learned a new number game to build upon our understanding of how numbers relate to one another. This game helps children to practice adding on and taking away to create different quantities. Many giggles could be heard while this game was being played.

We're nearing the end of our weekly letters...only a few more to go! Can you guess what letter we learned about this week...?

(it's Yoda with a yo-yo 😊)

Classroom Information and Reminders:

1. I will be away from the school from April 8-12. In my absence, Mrs. Seddon will be joining us for the entire week! Please contact her with any information about absences or student questions while I am away (ljseddon@cbe.ab.ca).

2. Quest Theatre will be joining us next week! Stay tuned for more details about a sharing assembly that will take place on Friday, April 12. Both morning and afternoon students will be invited to participate in this performance.

Have a wonderful week!
