We had such an exciting week together in kindergarten. We dove into the wonderful world of wildlife and learned to sort animals as wild or domestic.

Our visit from Medicine River Wildlife Centre was incredible! Thank you so much for your generous donations that made this possible. We met Olive the Great Horned Owl and learned about how wild animals get rehabilitated if they've been injured. We also learned how to keep Alberta's wildlife happy and healthy, and what do if we ever come across a wild animal in need of help.

We were so inspired by meeting Olive, that we had to create some owls of our own. These turned out SO great!

We had a lot of fun during our gymnastics time this week.

In math this week, our kindergarten students began our explorations of our new geometry unit. Here is an outline of the curricular goals for our new unit.

For Miss Matthews' last day with us, we created a larger-than-life representation of her and wrote some imaginative stories with her as the main character. We were very excited to give her a special gift that we worked on together. She has been such a special part of our classroom and will be greatly missed!

Lastly, I wanted to share a lovely card the morning class received in the mail from the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation 💖

Have a wonderful weekend!
